LIBRARY VISION & MISSION STATEMENT
The Los Angeles Trade Technical College Library (LATTC) is one of nine college libraries in the Los Angeles Community College district. Our primary mission is to support the curriculum and the academic programs of our college to enhance the learning process for student success. We provide students, faculty and staff resources and access to information in support of our academic and vocational programs.
The library has the responsibility for supporting “life-long learning” for students. Library faculty guide students, and support faculty and staff in obtaining knowledge, experience and skills in selecting and accessing resources. Library research tools include print and electronic resources, the Internet and the World Wide Web.
Upgrading our library educational and technology resources is recognized as a campus priority. Our goal is to integrate library and information technologies impacting education and learning and information literacy into our library collection, policies and instructional programs.
The library can be an archive of our collective past, provide access to the present and a portal to the future. Our LATT Library goal is to create a vibrant learning environment for students and faculty that supports and facilitates research and learning. |
